“This EP came together organically as a collection of songs written over a few summers, without the initial intention of forming a larger body of work. Each track in this EP is a reflection of my own personal experiences and those of close friends and encapsulates the moody essence of a summer, where one’s inner turmoil contrasts with the outward joy of the season; about those times when you fake a smile to join in the fun, even when you’re feeling down. My music captures specific snapshots in time, serving as a way to document memories and the emotions attached to them and the Summerhaze does just that; it is a testament to the power of friendship, the people who support you through rough patches, and the bittersweet beauty of summer’s emotional highs and lows,” says Jozem.
