“We wrote ‘You Should Find a New Boyfriend’ in an AirBnB in Los Angeles during our first proper tour. Coming from small town Connecticut, flying across the country to play in a big city was very overwhelming, and so we found ourselves in our comfort zone, sitting together making music.”
Comfort zone indeed – that’s what Litvar has become after releasing their brand new track ‘You Should Find A New Boyfriend’. The three-piece outfit showcases a feeling of anxiety and the first part of the song seems to illustrate the hovering presence of intrusive thoughts caused by a suppressing relationship. The composition then begs for air once it progresses into an explosion where the anxiety becomes the fundamental element.

“Sonically, ‘Boyfriend’ is us playing with dynamics, exploring our electronic pop influences and satisfying our thirst for huge modern rock choruses. Lyrically, it’s about searching for space while being swallowed by anxiety, using the idea of begging for air in a strangling relationship.”
‘You Should Find A New Boyfriend’ serves the purpose of three songs all at once. Listeners are greatly satisfied to hear such skill and vibrancy. The amalgamation of genres is thrilling and produces a sound so fresh and original. The play on dynamics is absolutely genius as it provides the track with an indescribable value. Don’t miss it!
