Lucy Dye Releases Dreamy”Crystal Eyes x Diamond Minds”

Singer-songwriter, producer and performer Lucy Dye has released her euphoric yet melancholic avant pop single “Crystal Eyes x Diamond Minds”. Musically, the track is rooted in dreamy synths, hazy beats and Dye’s husky vocals. With a powerful voice founded on vulnerability, the track weaves an atmospheric tale of the beauty of the restless club culture she discovered on countless encounters through the nightlight of various cities across Europe.

Balanced against the seemingly joyous, carefree vibes is the sobering undertones of realization that the lifestyle comes with a fair share of consequences; from mental health struggles to addiction.

Speaking of the inspiration behind the track she says, “I wrote some of the lyrics walking home alone at night from partying and then I ended up finishing the track back in Germany, reflecting on my experiences with the club culture and my friends back in Ireland – a very free and reckless, but also most eye opening time for me.”

With a trance-inducing danceability woven through Lucy’s laid-back vocal delivery, “Crystal Eyes x Diamond Minds” is the first ever track the rising musician has ever produced, the first draft coming to life while she was sat in production class in BCFE Dublin.

“Crystal Eyes x Diamond Minds” is currently playing across all digital streaming platforms. Listen to the single on Spotify or on YouTube below.

Having developed an expansive, cinematic style to her music, Lucy who has been extensively trained in vocal techniques, classical piano and guitar, was pulled into electronic music with a side of avant pop. Unwilling to be confined by genres, this promising talent has made her sonic diversity known, moving from techno-influenced productions to lush dream pop, and everything in between.

From honing her lyrical skill as a songwriter for other acts to working as a backing vocalist for German fame Ayliva and performing in live shows including Sofar Sounds in London, Lucy Dye discovers her potential through various means, and she’s coming out of it with a refined yet emotive sound that leaves listeners wanting more.
