Sam Himself’s “Never Let Me Go” is art at its finest

Hailing from Brooklyn, Swiss-born artist Sam Himself risks another shot at hope with passionate new song “Never Let Me Go’” With tangible passion, Sam paints a soundscape exploring ethereal tones and gloomy textures.

The track marks a period of professional recognition for Sam, developed in parallel with personal upheaval that caused him great distress and worry. The light at the end of the tunnel came for Sam in the form of love, it pulled him out of his discomfort and inspired him to write about the dangerous thrill of loving someone and fearing their loss.

The track shows an intrepid Sam, passionately uncovering his state of mind and experiencing an intricate personal and artistic evolution.

Major props go to the production of the music video, which captures an astounding Icelandic scenery which somehow looks like Sam’s musical identity personified. The conceptual simplicity coupled with nature’s intricacy results in a tasteful body of work, enhanced by the uncanny movements present in the video – this is art at its finest if you ask me.
