The Bluetones, the iconic British indie rock band from West London, have officially announced their return with a new EP, their first release since 2010. The EP, released on the band’s newly launched label Brainhole Records, is the first of a trilogy set to drop over the next six to eight months.
Formed in 1993, The Bluetones quickly made their mark in the UK indie scene with hits like “Slight Return” and a string of Top 40 singles. Although the band’s rise began during the Britpop era, their influence has endured over the decades.

Frontman Mark Morriss notes that this EP marks a shift for the band: “For the first time, the music is driven solely by our own passion and vision.” The lead single, “Drive Thru,” embodies this renewed energy, with Morriss describing it as a song about “letting go of past expectations and embracing the unknown.”
The Bluetones’ return is not just about nostalgia but reinvention, promising both fans and new listeners a fresh take on their classic sound. A UK and Irish tour is planned, where the band will perform both their timeless hits and new tracks.
