Swedish indie-rock trio Frank Follows release “Hey!”, representing a significant evolution in the band’s sound, blending honesty, dynamism, and an upbeat energy that promises to resonate with their growing fanbase. Following the success of their previous single “Lights Out” the band continues to refine their distinctive sound.
Drawing from lead singer Adrian Berhardson’s introspective journey to find his voice, “Hey!” is thematically rich. The song delves into emotional depths with a raw authenticity, reflecting a newfound vulnerability. It is propelled by a slick guitar riff and anchored by a compelling drum line, melding catchy hooks with deeper reflections on self-perception and emotional resilience. The track originated from a riff by guitarist Måns Ekholm and producer Olof Victor, with Adrian’s lyrics transforming it into the compelling single it is.
“This song is a shout into the void hoping to get an echo. It’s the selfish need to be heard. To be understood,” Adrian explains. “When the vertigo from all the things flashing by gets unbearable, what else can you do but yell: ‘Hey!’.”

Frank Follows, composed of Adrian Berhardson, Måns Ekholm, and Olof Victor, formed at the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm. Their live performances, including sets at Sofar Sounds, Andorra, and Live At Heart, have further established their reputation.
With the release of “Hey!” and upcoming live performances, Frank Follows is solidifying their position as a notable act in the indie music landscape.
