Layered with experimentation and concise, creative chaos, Trust the Mask epitomize the allure of the alien and the avant-garde with perfect precision.
With expression and symbolism carved into the core of their artistry, both the music and the imagery possessed by this curious duo work in symbiosis, cultivating a depth of connection and understanding between audience and artist which is extraordinarily rare and endlessly captivating.
New single ‘Our Fault’ offers a letter of apology to Mother Earth, taking responsibility for the damage caused by humans whilst also recognizing the importance of hope within the climate action movement. Taken from their upcoming debut album Idiom which represents an ethereal journey in the search for a universal language.
Trust the Mask share, ‘Our Fault’ is a letter of apology to Mother Earth. Written during the lockdown, when it seemed pretty clear that Nature was sending us a terrible message after centuries of abuse. A song that began by experimenting with arpeggios on a vintage accordion to which analog synths, virtual pipe organs and layers of choral samples were added. It is again Vittoria’s amazing voice that guides the narrative as a conscience that reminds us of all the mistakes humanity has made.”
