While we do love summer and all the jolly music that comes with it, there’s nothing quite like a sad piano ballad to exemplify our state of mind coming into autumn and winter. Leyla Diamondi has created the track we are craving after a hot season of exuberant love songs and party tunes. “Broken Pieces” is a dramatically poignant offering illustrating emotional frailty and self-empowering motifs.
With a vocal quality that reminds that of Amy Lee for its delicate sharpness, Leyla Diamondi’s voice is the elephant in the room we are so keen to address. It’s monumental. There. It’s been addressed. The pathos in the performance of “Broken Pieces” is rare. It’s a sign of true artistry and certainly promises big things for the 23 year old.

Speaking further on the release, Leyla Diamondi says:
“I used to put up walls to feel safe, because I was afraid of being rejected by the pack if you will, but now I have come to realise that being open and fluid (like water) is so much more powerful; invincible. I am not afraid anymore. This has been my songwriting journey.”
