“I suppose looking back, it was about the roller coaster of life in my 20’s.”
There’s nothing quite like a good trip down memory lane, especially if it’s rock and roll! Bass player Nick True wrote ‘Passion’ years and years ago and takes us back to a passionate time in his life with new indie rock band The Horn. We like to define this song as ‘perfectly ripe’ and ‘definitely on top of our recommendation list’.

“The song always stayed with me and a few years ago I came back to it and wrote the second verse which got me excited about it again. When I played it to Jonny, he liked it straight away and we started work on a new demo.”
Good thing True patiently waited for the perfect time to release this tune, the members of The Horn feel like THE ideal match. Each element shifts into the other seamlessly: the restful voice of Jonny Taylor sits all cosy into the dynamic bite of Danny Monk’s guitar, flowing above Ed Cox’s poised keys choreography. Alex Moorse teams up with True to give the tightest drum and bass pairing we’ve heard in a minute – chef’s kiss!
“We took it into the studio and came up with some new musical ideas like a new solo by Danny which gave a lot of musicality to play against the constant rhythms.”
