“This is my attempt to discuss the difference between fashion and style without coming off as a pretentious prick. I love fashion deeply. I love fashion almost as much as I love music. I can watch runway shows for hours, I can shop for days and if I had a choice folks like Raf Simons, Demna Gvasalia, Chitose Abe, and this kid from Toronto named Aris would be my best friends. Money makes anyone fashionable, but it can’t make you stylish. style is more than being able to purchase a pair of balenciaga triple s’, an off white belt and some Amiri jeans. Style is the exploration of your physical and often emotional self. accentuating the parts you love, being vulnerable with parts you hate. You can give 10 different people a grey sweatsuit and that sweat suit will present completely different on all 10 people.
One of the best examples of what I’m trying to explain is the 2016 FW Vetement runway show. A show that I felt in many ways captured a lot of my feelings in style and fashion. This song in some ways represents if I could go back to that show and be a part of it in any way.” – Tremayne.
