Midnight Foolishness is from Bensonhurst Brooklyn. The band was formed By Robert Corbino, who recruited Julio Aries, formerly of the band Candiria.

We had a chance to talk to Midnight Foolishness a little about the project as part of our Refrain Interview Series.

Refrain Music Blog: Thanks for taking the time to do this interview. You have a new single out now. What’s it called? 

ROBERT — THE NEW SINGLE IS CALLED “THE REASONS WE DON’T TALK ANYMORE ” IT WAS THE LAST SONG RECORD FOR THE RECORD. THE RECORD I CALLED “USE YOUR HEAD NOT YOUR HANDS” IT’S ABOUT SAYING GOODBYE TO A OLD FRIEND WHEN YOU DON’T WANT TO!

RMB: What’s the single about?

 ROBERT – MAINLY JUST A HARD GOODBYE TO SOMEONE I CARED ABOUT FOR SO LONG. REALIZING NOTHING I CAN DO TO HELP THAT PERSON. EX GIRLFRIEND OF COURSE.

RMB: What’s the story on how it was recorded?

ROBERT — WAS ORIGINALLY RECORDED IN ROBERTS BASEMENT AT FIRST IT DID NOT TAKE LONG . ALL THE MUSIC WAS ORIGINALLY LOST FOR A YEAR OR SO ,SO THAT MESSED ALOT UP .THEN FIGURING OUT HOW TO PAY FOR IT . THAT WAS EXPENSIVE.

RMB: Is it part of a larger album?

ROBERT – THE RECORD IS CALLED “USE YOUR HEAD NOT YOUR HANDS” IT’S A 10 SONG ALBUM .HAS A BUNCH OF DIFFERENT VARIETY ,

RMB: When is that album out?

IT IS OUT NOW EVERYWHERE

RMB: Is this your first album?

ROBERT –  IT IS THE BAND’S FIRST FULL LENGTH ALBUM . ANOTHER IS ABOUT TO COME IN 2022

RMB: Tell us a little about the band. Who are the members and what do you each play?

ROBERT C. SINGER GUITARIST , MIKE S GUITAR , JULIO DRUMS MIKE D. BASS WE ARE ALL A BUNCH OF GOOD FRIENDS WHO LIKE TO HAVE FUN !

RMB: How long have you been together? When and how did you form? 

ROBERT: THIS LINE UP HAS BEEN TOGETHER FOR THE LAST 2 YEARS . ROB GOT EVERYONE TOGETHER .

RMB: Have you had any significant lineup changes recently? What happened and how is everyone feeling about it?

THE LINE UP HAS BEEN CHANGING OVER THE LAST 5 YEARS. EVERYONE HERE NOW MAKES THE BAND REALLY SOLID. EVERYONE IS FOCUSED ON THE MISSION.

RMB: What’s the one thing you are most proud of in your career so far?

ROBERT- PROBABLY GETTING OUR SINGLE: “2017 “ON 92.3FM ALT ROCK RADIO. TUFF TO SAY WE DON’T LIKE TO SETTLE.

RMB: If you had to pitch your music to a potential fan in less than 10 seconds, what would you say?

THIS ALBUM IS A VERY MAINSTREAM POP PUNK ALTERNATIVE RECORD.

RMB: If you could go back in time, what’s a piece of advice you would give to a younger you?

TRY NOT TO ANNOY THE HELL OUT OF EVERYONE

RMB: What’s coming up next for your musical project?

WE SHOULD BE RELEASING THE NEXT NEW ALBUM IN 2022
